She's Growing

Ah, the glamorous life of a new mommy. I often catch my few hour snatches of sleep on the couch with Cordelia on my chest. She tends to sleep pretty well that way. Makes me sweat, but she's happy.

She has gotten much better at the night and day thing, and now has her fussy period in the evening like many "normal" babies. At night, she will sometimes go 4 or 5 hours between feedings (except for last night, when she was nursing every 1-1.5 hours!).

Cordelia is growing. At her two week birthday, she weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces, which was an 8 oz gain in 6 days. She celebrated her 3 week birthday yesterday, but I did not get her weighed this time. She'll be at the doc's next week for her one month checkup, so we'll check her growth again then.

It's been a while since the last post; my little princess has been very demanding of my time during the day -- not wanting to sleep in her bassinet, preferring to be held. She's doing better today, so hopefully that is a sign of things to come.
