Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Greetings to all! We hope you had a joyous Christmas and will be blessed this new year. Can you believe we're in 2010?
I want to start off by providing a link to my brother and sister in laws blog site. Joe is in Iraq now and his wife has posted a beautiful and moving slideshow of the children in Germany. Our continued prayers go out to Joe and his family.

On the 18th we celebrated Evangeline's 2nd birthday down in Santa Claus. She got lots of books including an Elmo potty book! She's been doing quite well telling us when she needs to use the potty. It's likely that potty training will begin when she returns to day care in January.
Well we continued with the hoidays being a time of illness again this year. All 3 children, Holly and Dominic came down with varying degrees of sickness in the two weeks leading up to Christmas. The 3 children vomited and Holly and Dominic spent a day each of serious napping and general lethargy. Holly's sister Hillary spent most of the 28th on our couch.
On Wednesday the 6th, Dominic's mom will return to Indianapolis (yeah!) from Dallas. She and Dad went down for Thanksgiving to visit my sister Karen. Come to find out that her back had been broken in a previous fall and a vertebrae was fractured. Surgery has ensued at the Methodist Hospital and rehab has been at Karen and Jay's house. Many thanks to all of the Dallas Trapp family for taking good care of Mom!
With Dominic's parents in Dallas, the season was spent in Indianapolis with the Smith clan. (Incidentally, I think it worth noting that this January 5 of the 6 Smith sisters will be living in Indianapolis). Christmas evening was at the Snively's, Saturday at Heidi and Raul's and Sunday Holly and I provided a 22lb Turkey feast. (we have enough leftovers that 2010 will be dubbed "the year of the turkey"). Larry and Geri were invited to watch the Colts game in a suite with friends and even got to go down to the field level during the game!
Quick Colts rant - What team in their right mind doesn't set a goal of having a perfect season? Do you think they circled the Jets game at the beginning of the year and said "Let's set a goal to blow this one"?
OK. Enough typing, here's some photos. Enjoy.
