First Birthday and Fun in the Snow!

Hello all,

What a February it has been! Cordelia has begun ballet/tap dance classes at a studio right next to our church and Noel celebrated her 1st birthday (along with Aunt Carla) on the 11th. No word yet on which 39th birthday Carla is at.

Lots of fun was had digging through the carrot cake and spreading the cream cheese icing through her hair! Noel is quite the eater of all things placed on her plate. She devoured some chicken creole Holly had made only to decide after it was in her belly that perhaps it was too spicy. Lots of howling ensued and calm was restored after a few swigs of milk....then back to the creole!

At Noel's one year checkup she had actually dropped a bit of weight. We've been encouraged to feed her often. No complaints from her thus far. The doctor still heard the heart murmer so the hole in her heart is still there. She's walking all over the house now.

Cordelia's classes are going great (I think, I have nothing to go off of really). I took her for two weeks and described her dancing as "kinetic". Her instructor told Holly that she'll be doing much better when Cordelia's brain can keep up with her body. A 4 count turns into about 8 movements. Quite amusing to watch. Cordelia says that she really likes ballet but tap, not so much. She has a friend in the class, Mary. We see Mary at church on Sunday's and it turns out goes to preschool with cousin Bailey. She was at Bailey's birthday party and I think Cordy has a new best friend.

Evie is doing great. She knows most of her colors, can recite all of the animals in a favorite bedtime book (including penguin, beaver, muskrat, reindeer) and learns new words every day.

Here's a few photos of the girls:

This is actually one of the cleaner scenes!

Holly and the girls read "If you give a cat a cupcake".

Cordelia shows off her inate sense of fashion. Pink pajamas, purple princess dress, WonderWoman belt, Wonder Woman spats and white sandals!

Al Gore got it all wrong. If this is global warming, we need more!
