5 months since last post??

February. Wow, I didn't realize it had been that long since the last post.

The summer has been flying by but here in the dog-days of summer the Eble family is doing quite well.

My brother Joe was able to spend two weeks in June with his family in Germany. He returned to Iraq and after 3 or so more weeks ended his tour safely and retuned to Hawaii. We couldn't be happier for his safe return! For more info on his time in Germany see here:

Holly's sister Heather earned her Masters degree from IU in Physical Therapy and got engaged to her boyfriend. Congratulations and welcome to the family, Vince!

We spent a week in June down in Florida with most of Holly's family in a rented home on the intracoastal waterway in St. Pete Beach. Lots of pool and beach fun was had by all. The girls even got to take a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth - Disney's Magic Kingdom. I'd say it was a hit! Cordelia has asked to go back for her birthday....perhaps her 10th. We'll see.

August is to be a busy month for us (and the Eble/Smith families):
1. My brother Joe has finished his 10 month tour in Iraq and will be spending a week visiting Indianapolis with Ute, Michael, Annika and baby#3 (congratulations). We're very excited to see them. No home Colts game that week though. :( After Indy it's back to dreary Hawaii. I guess someone's gotta do it.
2. Cordelia will have her first dance recital and start kindergarten at St Monica. Exciting stuff to be sure!
3. Carla will be visiting with her friend Fred as he attends GenCon at the Convention Center. A return trip may be planned to see Joe and Ute as well.
4. Holly will transition into a new role at Eli Lilly in the Human Resources department in Employee Relations. Wish her luck.
5. Hillary, who recently turned 21, returns to Indianapolis from Santa Claus. Parteeee!

September is looking to be interesting as well: birthdays for Cordelia, Dominic and Holly and perhaps even more interesting Hog wrestling. Yeah you read that correctly. Vince, Dominic and two more (Matt, Raul, Kyle??) have agreed to do some pig wrestling (raslin') in a pit of mud down at the Dale Fall Fest near Santa Claus. Geri Smith has offered to pay the entrance fee and the extended family is looking forward to seeing us make fools out of ourselves!
