Week 13
Work is really moving along. I had to stop by last Wednesday to discuss an issue with Mike and what was just stud walls on the previous Sunday at the week 12 post is now fully drywalled! 3 days!
The photos are from last Friday. Holly and I took the day off and went down around mid-day before heading downtown for the NFL Experience and the beginning of the festivities for SUPERBOWL XLVI here in Indianapolis!!!!!!!
Brick work continues in earnest and there's a corner of the house with stone for us to verify that it is what we expected and wanted. Yes it is. The stone masons were at the home and they expressed some concern with the stone. Apparently the drystack look is not common around these parts (primarily in the South according to him) and it will be a long and slow process to get it all done. Since it won't show on the front, all of the mortar has to be at the back and the stones need to fit very well and be secure before going up a level.
The garage floor was poured and being worked on while we were there. Gas and water are to be ran this week and garage doors also. Drywall mudding won't start until the gas has been ran and the heat is on.
Some bad news. The roof was added but apparently one corner was not fully flashed awaiting brick or stone. With all of the rain last week, water came in on the 2nd floor front bedroom, down to the dining room and into the basement.
Holly said I needed photos with people in them so I present several with my lovely wife modeling different features.

Methinks the lovely wife was caught unawares in at least one photo! Glad to see the progress, hoping for good weather that will allow you to catch up on your timeline.
