First Solid Food

Cordelia has been eating big big bottles at daycare; I can't keep up, so we've started some rice cereal.

So far, she thinks it is ok. She'll take a few spoonfuls, then she's done. Hopefully she will take to it eventually.

Otherwise, she's doing well. Getting closer to rolling from back to belly. She gets on her side and moves her feet, but can't quite make it over.

She's cute and sweet and tons of fun!

At Play

Cordelia loves to play. She loves to lie on the floor and kick her legs, chew on her toy rings, swing, and her new fun is the exersaucer! She likes it because she can sit up in it. Cordelia wants to see all the action, so she often curls her head and shoulders off the ground.

She is "talking" more and more, especially when she wakes up in the morning. Drooling is also big on her list.

We are so happy that she has settled in well at her new daycare. They love her, she loves the other kids, and she is eating and sleeping well there. What a relief!

Happy New Year!

Cordelia rang in 2006 by going to bed by 8 pm. A growing little gal like her needs her sleep.

On the 30th, she went to the doctor's office. She now weighs 13 lb. 8.5 oz., which is in the 50th percentile. She is between the 50th and 75th percentile for head size. The big stat is her height: she is now 25.75 inches, which places her in the 90-95th percentile! She's an Amazon!

The doc thought her motor development (head control, weight bearing on legs, stability when sitting supported) was very good, especially for her age.

As you may be able to tell from her picture, she has turned into our little slobber monster. The drool faucet has been activated!

Tomorrow I head back to full time work, so Cordelia will be going to Miss Jodee's for in-home childcare.
